Hunters will be escorted by licensed professional hunters.

All field preparation of trophies is carried out by our expert team. Once prepared, your trophies are handed over to our trusted shipping agents, who will: Handle export permits, oversee final preparation for export and arrange international shipping

We also work with world-renowned taxidermists who can complete your mounts in Africa.

Hunting Season is conducted throughout the year. The recommended months are March to October. Summers are hot, winter days mild and sunny, but nights and early mornings can be cold.

  • Bring neutral-colored, breathable clothing (Olive, brown, earth tones or camo)

  • Ankle high boots.

  • A windproof jacket and sweater is recommended.

If you choose to bring your own rifles, they must be declared at the point of entry. We highly recommend working with a specialized import agent, and we can suggest a reliable partner to assist with all necessary paperwork and procedures.

The appropriate rifle caliber will depend on the species you intend to hunt. For dangerous game, the minimum legal caliber is .375 H&H Magnum. If you prefer not to travel with firearms, rifles are available for rent.

To secure a booking, a 50% deposit on the daily rate is required at least six months in advance. The remaining balance, including all trophy fees for animals hunted or wounded, will be payable upon completion of the hunt.

The hunting location is determined based on the species you wish to pursue.

Major airlines fly to Johannesburg (O.R. Tambo International Airport) and additional flights can be taken from there to get closer to the desired hunting area. Please book early to secure the best time for hunting. Hunters may combine their safari with sightseeing tours before or after the hunt—an excellent way to explore the beauty and culture of Southern Africa. KIDO SAFARIS can assist with travel arrangements, bookings, and additional excursions.
