TROPHY HUNTING

KIDO SAFARIS is a safari outfit that operates in the Southern part of Africa and concessions in neighboring countries securing the species required by each client. KIDO SAFARIS is run by Henk Brink, who has been a professional hunter for the past 19 years.

We offer trophy hunting of more than forty species and each of them has a different challenge. See our trophy fees and special packages. All field preparation of your trophies is done by KIDO SAFARIS. We deliver trophies to our shipping agent who will be responsible for the preparation, export permits and shipping. Our world renowned taxidermist can also do the complete mounting of your trophies.

Clients are advised to bring rifles ranging from 30.06 upwards. All firearms must be declared at point of entry where a temporary permit will be issued (a mere formality). Firearm hire is also available.

A 50 % deposit is required at least six months in advance to secure a booking. The balance of your account (including trophy fees of all hunted or wounded animals) will be payable after termination of the hunt. There will be no refund on the deposit if not canceled three months prior to the hunt. Please book early to secure the best time for hunting. Hunters can combine their hunting safaris with sightseeing tours for a couple of days before or after the safari.

Hunting Season is conducted throughout the year. The recommended months are March to October. Hunters will be escorted by licensed professional hunters. Summers are hot, winter days mild and sunny, but nights and early mornings can be cold. Bring regular khaki clothes and ankle high boots. A windproof jacket and sweater is recommended.

Although KIDO SAFARIS take all reasonable precautions for the clients safety, no liability will be accepted for injury, accidents or any losses incurred. We advise our clients to take out personal insurance against illness or accident before departure.

All major airlines fly to Johannesburg (O R Tambo International Airport) with a connecting flight to Richards Bay where we will be waiting to meet you. KIDO SAFARIS will be glad to help you with any arrangements, bookings, etc. that you may need.
